One of the easiest was to be more sustainable is to cut down on the excess waste of products that we don't need that harm the earth. You don't have to be a homesteader, just more conscious of the waste you create. Plastic bags cause damage it from pollution of manufacturing, additional waste in our landfills causing harm to the environment, and could have harmful risk for the health of human and animals.

Reusable bags have been one of the biggest giveaways recently which is great, however I found they got really messy and I ended up tossing after a tough trip to the grocery store. It seems I always broke handles or things leaks in the bags and they didn't wash well. Luckily most of those bags are recyclable but I wanted something that I could hold onto longer which would help me be even more sustainable.

I was visiting with a dear friend at the beach and she had some that I thought were such an upgrade that were thin with a great shoulder straps for stronger hold. Even better she go them from amazon. I immediately ordered some and it hasbeen one of the most used products this year.

I love them for a few reasons. They feel stronger, completely washable, small and compact, affordable, and fun colors. I think the hardest part about them is remembering when you head to the store. This luckily are so compact, I leave them all over the place so I also have a few on hand. Another tip is to put shopping bags on your shopping list. Example below, I have 4 dozen eggs in this bag and do not worry about them.
